Afternoon Tea!

This is something you can get really excited about!. Whist drives, Bingo, dancing, 50's and 60's music, you tell us what you want and we will do our best to get something sorted for you. An opportunity for our more mature citizens to come along and enjoy an afternoon of socialising, Tea, cakes, and companionship at the United Reformed Church, Townley Street,Macclesfield, on alternate Thursdays commencing 4th April.

We are all very aware that as we age loneliness can become a real issue for those that live alone, so this is a chance to meet with new people, share a laugh, and have a conversation. Something that we know is desperately needed when you only see your beloved Cat or Dog for 10 hours a day. They are of course great company, but not always the best conversationalists!

Our usual services apply; if you have any worries or concerns, we can offer confidential counselling, help or advice, just approach one of our volunteers and ask for a quiet word away from the madding crowd. They will be happy to refer you on to one of trained counsellors, who can get in touch with you. If it is something of a more practical nature like needing help with form filling, benefit payments, or some other issue we are here to listen.
